1 Year Old

OH MY GOSH, this is so bittersweet. It is so unreal to believe that seriously a year ago today I was pregnant, having contractions when I woke up, actually got dressed and went to work!! Not knowing that I would leave early or that I would have a child later in the night. The thought that a year has already gone by is crazy because it doesn't feel like a year at all, it only feels like a few months. She is getting bigger but she still seems so little.
This is Chase....I am hijacking the blog for a min....

The day I met you...
Well I am definitely nervous right now. It is 01:30 and Momma is getting prepped.  I stepped out so that M'Rhea could visit with her.  Coffee is not that good here but is doable.

News for the day:
Santorum dropped out of the presidential race
Trayvon Martin picked a fight he could not win
Syria is boiling at the brink of war
The monetary policy put into place is failing again
North Korea is threatening a missile strike

After you got here:
Mom is probably mad at me because I stood in awe for the most part.  Your arms and legs were just flailing and minimal crying until your shot.
I never thought that something so precious could be a part of me.....God does have a few tricks up his sleeve!

0 to 3 Months

Holy Cow it has flown by! Just feels like yesterday I was working at school and was having strong contraction like feelings. Then went in to hospital to find out it was time to have Ms. Hallie!!! What a JOY she has been to us and a blessing in our life! What did we do when it was just the two of us? Hard to even imagine my life without her. She has been so fun to watch grow so far, I can hardly imagine it getting any better and more fun, but it will be sad to see her pick up speed and grow quickly before our eyes like she already has!

So far, she has accomplished the following...

1 Month-

She came 2 1/2 weeks early

Came out with hair on her head

1 week = lost her cord

1st check up and gained weight (5lb 4oz) from the time
     she left the hospital (left at 5lb 2oz)

Had her first bath in the bathtub

Focus more on certain things or people/voices

Road trip in the car, 3 hours, did just fine

1st trip to see family/friends was Mother's day weekend

Slept through the night from 10pm-6am

2 Month-

Smiled

Laughed once (5/14)

Grabbing on objects

Knows peoples voices

1st swimming pool adventure (6/11)

Watched the fireworks for Fourth of July, wasn't scared

Found her fingers/hand

Sucking her thumb/knuckle but doesn't like it as much

Rolling from her side to back

Coo's and mimics our mouth movements like she's trying to talk

3 Month-

Mimics our mouth movements like she's trying to talk more

Blows bubbles

Scoots in a circle

Tried rice cereal for the first time

Had her first solid poop- hated it!

1st Road Trip out of state

Met and visited Memmaw and Madeline in Indiana/Illinois

Laugh a lot
Found her feet
Moved to a new place and has her own room
